The Pasión Picasso exhibition is included in the official celebrations for the 50th Anniversary of Pablo Picasso's death promoted by the French and Spanish Governments. The idea stems from the artist's friendship with Eugenio Reale, an Italian politician and exponent of the Neapolitan cultural elite. This remarkable man was among the promoters of an important exhibition that the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna in Rome and the Palazzo Reale in Milan dedicated to Picasso in 1953.
